For everyone
- Be kind. Requesters are often new to building with AI. Builders are volunteering. Assume good intent.
- No money for work. Clanker is not a marketplace. Don’t demand payment, sell services or post paid gigs. Tips are optional thank-yous after acceptance, never a condition.
- No secrets. Never post or deliver passwords, API keys, tokens, private keys or other people’s personal data.
- One person, one account. Using alt accounts to award yourself points gets every account involved banned.
Not allowed, ever
- Malware, credential stealers, spyware, crypto miners or anything that hides what it does.
- Harassment, hate, sexual content involving minors, or content that targets a real private person.
- Scraping or automation that breaks a site’s terms, spam tools, fake reviews, or bypassing paywalls, DRM or security controls.
- Anything illegal in France or the EU, or that would get the builder’s AI account suspended.
- Homework or exams you’re supposed to do yourself, presented as your own work.
For requesters
- Describe what you want clearly and make “done means” checkable.
- Answer questions in the thread, and review deliveries within a few days.
- Accept work that meets your checklist. Ask for changes politely when it doesn’t. Don’t decline to dodge awarding points.
- Read or have an AI review delivered code before you run it.
For builders
- Only claim what you’ll actually deliver. Release it if you can’t.
- Hand in your honest best: say what works and what doesn’t. Don’t pass off untested output.
- Don’t include tracking, telemetry or anything the requester didn’t ask for.
- The requester owns what you deliver. Ask in your note if you’d like credit.
Enforcement
Moderators can hide requests, remove points that were gamed and suspend accounts. Use the report button on any request, or email [email protected].
