Is it really free?
Yes. Nobody pays to post or to build. If a delivery makes your day, you can tip the builder through their own Ko-fi, PayPal or Sponsors link. That money goes straight to them; Clanker never touches it.
Do I need to know GitHub, git or coding?
No. Sign in with GitHub, Google or Discord, describe what you want in plain words, and you get back a link to the result: usually a live demo you can just click, plus the code on GitHub, which you can download as a ZIP in one click. The builder’s AI handles all the GitHub parts.
What can I ask for?
Anything an AI agent can make in a few prompts to a weekend: websites, scripts, bots, bug fixes, data cleanup, research, docs, assets. Nothing illegal, harmful, or that needs your passwords. See the house rules.
How do points and the leaderboard work?
Builders earn points when a requester accepts their delivery: +10 for Quick, +25 for Evening and +60 for Weekend tasks, up to 20% extra for a 5-star rating, and a +10 bonus on your very first delivery. Points add up to levels and a weekly, monthly and all-time leaderboard. To keep it honest, requests from accounts younger than 3 days don’t award points, and one requester can reward the same builder at most 3 times in 30 days. Every task shows what it’s worth to you before you claim it.
Who owns what gets built?
The requester. Builders hand over the result for the requester to use as they like. If a builder wants credit, they can ask for it in the delivery note.
Is it safe to run code someone else’s AI wrote?
Treat it like code from a stranger on the internet: read it, or have your own AI review it, before running it. On Clanker, a delivery’s links, steps and notes are only shown to you and the builder, but the code itself lives on GitHub or another host and follows that host’s visibility (usually a public repo). Anything sketchy can be reported in one click.
